To help SmartBond clients and employees communicate with one another and stay abreast of project related activities, we provide access to a web-based Project Management (PM) system.
If you have your id and password, you can login using the area to the right. If you are a SmartBond client or employee, have your id for the PM, and have forgotten your password, click on the 'password?" link on the left to have your password emailed to you.
If you have any difficulties logging into the PM or want to provide feedback on the PM, send an email to info@smartbond.net.
Register as a Client | Register as an Employee
If you are not currently a client, and would like to utilize SmartBond's services, you can create your company's account on the PM by registering as a client.
This will allow you to setup your company within the PM and begin proposing projects you would like SmartBond to provide an estimate on or begin working on. You can create accounts for multiple users under the company account once you have setup your company's main account in the PM.
Note: Setting up a client account in the PM does not obligate you to contract SmartBond on any projects you propose. SmartBond can not begin work on a project until a Base Contract has been signed and consequently a sub-exhibit to the Base Contract for any specific project which you propose.
Register as a Client If you have not done so already, before you register as a client it would be good for you to learn more about SmartBond and our services to see if we can be of use to your organization.
If you would like to apply for a job with SmartBond, setup an employee account in the PM. When you setup an account, you will be put in the employee TestLab where you will be assigned a small project to work on.
Note: Setting up an employee account in the PM does not guarantee you will become an employee of SmartBond. The status of your account will be 'Job Applicant' until you successfully exit out of the employee TestLab.
Register as an Employee If you have not done so already, before you register as an employee, it would be good for you to learn more about SmartBond and our services to see if we would be a good place for you to work.
Overview of the Project Management System
As mentioned above, SmartBond using the web-based Project Management (PM) system to help better connect it's project teams with it's clients. The PM was designed and created by SmartBond. It allows clients to view the latest status of projects, the number of hours incurred per project during any given period, approve or reject the hours, receive billing, and interact directly with all of the SmartBond team members working on the client projects. All of of this is done via a web browser interface (i.e. Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera).
Being that the system is web-based, SmartBond clients and employees can be located anywhere in the world and still work on projects effectively together.
Some of the main features of the PM for Clients include:
- Can register your company as a client.
- Client administrator can create their own users and assign these users to projects.
- Client administrator can propose new projects.
- Client can review and approval (or reject) estimates, quotes, and change orders.
- Contracts between client and SmartBond are stored online within the client's account in the PM.
- Each project has a summary page, as well as detail sections for timesheets, documents, files, and code, forum discussions, action items (tasks/bugs/change requests), quotes, and contracts.
- Create quotes for clients which they can approve or reject on the system.
- Employees enter timesheets directly to the PM on a daily basis. Allows client to know the status of horus incurred on a project on a daily basis rather than at month's end.
- Client approves, rejects, or requests more information for timesheets for each person on the project before they are be billed.
- Client administrator has access to the history of all financial transactions for each project.
- Action Items (i.e. Tasks, Change Requests, Bugs, etc.) can be assigned to a person on the system, set a deadline to be completed, have a file attached to them to better explain them, have detailed notes entered, and persons responsible for the item can update the status when the status changes as well as add their comments to the item.
- With the document management section for a project, users can store files, code, images, documents and any other type of file for each project.
- The system automatically sends email messages to the appropriate users when a task is added, a forum item is posted, and other important changes related to a project which users should be aware of.
Some of the main features of the PM for Employees include:
- Can register as an employee, thusly applying for a job.
- Enter your resume.
- Enter your timesheets.
- Monitor your compensation.
- Communicate with other SB team members and client team members.
- Store project files; access project files.
- Hold discussions in the Forum area for a project.
- Manage your responsibilities for each project (i.e. through the Action Items).
