Application Overview
The Timeline Generator gives users the ability to create a graphical timeline in HTML and XML formats. The output of the Timeline Generator application is a graphical timeline which users can use on their web sites, for web-based presentations, burn to CD, and send via email.
The Timeline Generator technology can be used for various purposes. The first purpose we are showcasing is the ability to show a user's resume in a timeline fashion. For individuals this can be an added dimension to their presentation of their clssical resume.
Timeline Resume
Just like a picture can mean a 1,000 words, a Timeline Resume can represent a 1,000 words for a person's experience.
Using the Timeline Generator, users can create a graphically pleasing resume in a timeline format.
By entering in periods (multi-date and single-date periods), and uploading logos to represent the period on the timeline, users can graphically show work experience, education, honors, certifications, skills, activities, and other important moments, which have occurred in their lives.
In addition to generating a timeline, the system will generate the standard text version resumes through the periods users enter for their timeline. As well, users can create an introduction or cover letter to proceed their resume.
